For Those Who Are Going To Do The Differential Breather Mod....
I think that this a better/cleaner look to the mod. All you do is push in on the gasket around the filler neck to expose the metal ring holding the gasket in. pull the ring out and pull the gasket of one side of the filler neck with some needle nose pliers. Then feed your hose FROM the filler down to the differential, tighten everything up and cut your excess hose at the filler. I pushed in some extra hose just in case. Push the gasket all the way back around the filler neck and put the metal ring back in and your done. I just thought i'd sher the photo and maybe help out the ones new to this like me! In robinhoods write up in the off-road enhancements section, he shows what it looks like with out the gasket. I just thought it was there for a reason and wanted to kep the mud and stuff out.

i just did mine recently, and didnt bother putting it through the rubber gasket. its just ziptied to the filler neck, just behind the rubber. it was dark and i couldnt be bothered with fiddling with the gasket. maybe one day ill put it through.
do this mod if you go anywhere near water/mud! its too easy not to...

agreed! just thought id share my variation! on the 4runner its a pain to get to the filler neck cause you have to remove a piece out of the fender-well and i didnt want to play that game!

Mine's behind the gasket like dOubledown's.....just removed the gasket to get to the filler neck and was able to zip tie it from there. Course, I've got long fingered chick hands so sometimes I can get into a spot larger hands can't.
Yours is a great idea, glad you shared.

me and lee's are like that. i like that it is safe from all the splash from the wheel well and also safe behind the door. plus, it reminds you to keep an eye on the breather and also to check the passage of the tubing every once in a while as well.

ok... just food for thought here. If you were to go in water that happened to be up to your fuel door, would you want it behind the gasket so that water doesnt just rush in the crack around the fuel door, or would the same thing happen even if it were behind the rubber gasket? I have been wanting to do this mod, but havnt gotten around to ordering the parts yet.
