last weekends carnage & bumper fix (pics)

so last weekend i went out wheelin with a bunch of toys up eagle ridge. some pretty good wheel goin on, and i suffered quite extensive bumper damage (along with a kinked ctrl arm) surprise. the front was tweaked quite a bit & knocked the flare offf

and the fix:

yeeha! im pretty stoked about this. picked it up from ARB in WA yesterday (thanks phil & et all @ trdparts4u.com), and slapped that baby on. it was quite a pain lining things up by myself, but managed to get it on and lined up. can definitely feel the weight up front, but its not overly offensive.i still have to paint some of the bracketry & skid plate but ill do that when i put my body lift on. now all i need is deal with my rear bumper...

wonder if the mrs will notice if i snuck a winch in there?

That yellow tab...holds the fender flare. It's also pushed in pretty good.

Looks really good! In some ways I really prefer the ARBs to my TJM. I love seeing pics of Runners like ours with the LC rims. Helps me picture mine with them. I really need to get a set for mine.

Looking Good.

That looks like a good way to "repair" your bumper to me.

Good luck hiding a winch! I wonder how long it will take my better half to ask about that "whining" under my hood. LOL

Damn man, I'm in envy. My mrs wouldn't even let me think about it. You're so lucky.

I'll have my Runner back on the road in May, so maybe us Vancouverites can get meet together and you can show me how to wreck my bumper.

Looks good... If you don't like the huge gap (like me), this worked well:

hey thanks guys im happy about the way it fit, although it sits right up on that piece under the headlights. hopefully it wont bang it around too much under flex. once the BL goes on hopefully itll give it room to flex. then im gonna have to either a: mod my bracket$, or b: find something to fill the gap kinda like the ones monty's got...

one thing i dont like though is how the side wings are a bit longer thus protruding past the wheel arch line. anyone have any trouble with rubbing under full stuff? maybe once i bash it up some...ill feel more comfortable cutting it up and bobbing it.

its kinda hard to see the damage done on the original pic..but its there. i think the shiny bling chrome hides it well. but both corners were 'massaged' by some rocks/ruts, that it sat all crooked n bent like.
