04 Tacoma 2.4L Rear End Ratio

Isn't there a "Tag" on the rear housing, saying the gear ratio?

I read the post about turning the tire and counting the drive shaft turns.

Thanks

For 2.4L (2WD, non-PreRunner) Tacomas (both Regular and Xtra Cabs):

- 3.58:1 (manual)
- 3.73:1 (automatic)

You're welcome.... That info I pulled off a handy 2004 Toyota factory brochure.

Check this axle / gear site:

http://www.brian894x4.com/Gearratiosanddiffs.html

... for info on finding Toyota truck axle codes and interpreting them.
