Pics from the Ottawa media unveiling

Yah, so it hit the streets the same time they were unveiling it to the media in Canada. But, what we got at the unveiling that is not available on the streets around here is ROCK RAILS. Check the picture gallery on the clubs website (see my sig), pics are in no particular order, from various cameras so resolution varies, more will be added as they arrive so check back often.
Someone asked if you could jack from the rock rails? Yup, we did it today. The rails were shipped in direct once the engineers heard there were none here, I guess it's all in who ya know!

http://ovo.ca then click on Articles, then on the camera, then Trail Rides & Events.
(Sorry for those that looked earlier, didn't realize I had the pics at the very end of the gallery!)

For me, driving a brand new $40,000 (as optioned) vehicle, this had some serious pucker factor!

Yah, that was fun. And I got to repeat it over, and over, and over. Each time with a new passenger, with a new response every time. LoL

Amazing abuse for a stock rig. I'm surprised nobody hydro locked through the water hazard. You were indeed privileged to take part in the intro. Thanks for the photos and comments.

Toyota said no more then 20KpH through the water...yah right, these guys were hitting it HARD. For those in Canada, wait till ya see it on Motoring 2006 on TSN, that chic was crazy in the water. Definatly a better air intake then the old 3.slow setup, that would have killed my Runner at the speeds they were hitting it. I have more video to add, just need to edit it down in size first.

I do not know how I missed this thread, just now saw it.

On a PC now with no speakers, so I will check out vids tonight at home.

I like this picture with the rock rails.

Shortcut to the gallery and vids too.

msw0085, you linked in the full res picture which is over a meg and a half everytime someone looks at the thread (that's gonna kill the clubs bandwidth). Can you please link the resized picture from the gallery?

And that was one of the gentler passes! They had water coming over the roof in some of them. Those reporters...

Very nice!

Looking at the WMV files here at work.
Will download the Quicktime ones when I am at home.

The rock sliderz one really shows how they protected the rocker panels while going over that boulder.
That rock was HUGE!

I am sure vendors will be making sliderz too that will bolt on in the facotry location, but I ordered them.
Can always sell them if Slee or another vendor makes a nicer one.
