Anyone used a Crutchfield harness in a 1st gen?

My stock stereo took a crap and I need some tunes. I've never ordered from Crutchfield before, but I've always heard good things about them. Does their conversion harness for the 1st gen work?

Moved to Audio forum.

Yes, they'll work, but they're overpriced. The come "free" if you get a head unit from them, but you can save a bunch by getting your head unit off ebay or some other discount site and getting your harness from walmart.

Crutchfield is very good if you're willing to pay more for a better packaged deal, complete with well written instructions. However, if you're willing to do a little research, you can find the instructions free. Try www.installdr.com.

Watch their specials. Sometimes they can throw you a pretty good deal. Great company to deal with. First class service and people to deal with, but like has been said, kinda pricey if you're not careful. But all in all, I like them.

Sorry for posting in general, didn't know there was an audio forum.

I did some driving around the other day shopping for decks and install prices, and when I was leaving the third place my radio started working again, so it's a moot point right now.
