i got a 5:29 superior gears with true tracs in the rear and im gonna buy a front third member from a friend with 5:29 yukon gears. does it matter if its a different brand? also, will a ez locker work well in the front? thanks

 

The Yukon 529 gears will work just fine.....Yukon is a good quality gear and so is Superior.
I think it's a very good idea to put an inexpensive "lunchbox" style locker in that front end application. Lockrite,EZ, or Aussie....all work nicely in the IFS front.

i decided to put 35's on. truck power is great now that i put 5:29's and a detroit true trac in the rear. i currently have 15x10's with 35x12.50 cooper discoverer stt tires. im debating if i should go with 15x14 wheels later on. now i just gotta do the front gears so i can go wheelin again.

 

Awesome choices! Your truck sounds just like mine. Although 15x14 rims would not be a good idea if you are keeping the 12.50s. You should update your signature and post some pics. I would love to see it. What are you putting in the front?

 

i have some pics when my truck had 33's. will take pics of my truck with the 35's and post them. my friend has a third member for the front with 5:29 gears. im thinking about buying it and the only thing ill have to do is put a locker in it.
