Buying a 2002 4Runner
No, not me! My nephew has a line on an '02 4Runner, SR-5 V-6 4WD. The bank my brother works for is selling it, it's a lease turn-in. 50,000 miles on the clock. He will get it for 48 hours to test drive and have it checked out by his mechanic. As I have only owned 2nd gen I can't give him much to go on in the way of things he should be looking for, but I sure am psyched about having another Runner in the family. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Rear door weather stripping seams to want to loosen toward the back of the door frame...Check for any in cabin water damage. (known problem)
Other than that...An 02 with 50K, that should be a really great find. Make sure you do the usual used car check...Accidents Bla Bla Bla...other than that unless others can chime in here I love my 02

Thanks for your suggestions.
If I had posted this question with regards to a 2nd gen I know I would have got a lot more feedback -- this must be a strong testament to the 3rd gens!
