99 Toyota 4runner sr5
I need to sell my black 99 4runner Highlander. Body has 165k miles but has an engine and tranny with 75k miles from a 99 tacoma. Everything is in fair condition, but there are two problems, it has a 12 inch crack in the center of the windsheild the crack has been filled and will not spread, and the second problem is incorrect gas guage reading. I am asking $10,000 with problems fixed or $9500 as is or best offer. If interested call me 651 353 2764 car is located in Saint Paul, MN 55106
v6 3.4 auto, willing to trade for a tacoma excab 4x4
I also have the complete engine and tranny that was taken out. Engine has blown headgasket and tranny has bad slip, also have radiator too could be damaged internally. If you need anything give me a call or email me. Beexg@yahoo.com

just out of curiousity, why the engine swap?? was there something wrong with the original engine and tranny, 165k is not an ungodly amount to ask from a yota.

I does not have the diff lock but since it is a 99 it is one inch higher than any other year. Go here for specs.

The reason for the engine swap is because the tranny cooler inside the radiator must have leaked causing the tranny fluid and coolant to mix which caused the head gasket to blow making the engine oil mix in too. When I was draining the fluids everything (engine oil, coolant, tranny fluid) were all yogert pink looking. I am not 100 percent sure but I put in a new radiator just to be safe.
Also you can't see it that well but it does have the factory fog lamps.

I don't know much about "highlander", does that mean 4wd? Also, was the engine swap done by a certified mechanic or as a project or what? How far, if any, are you willing to meet for pickup? Thanks

If you check the links I listed it should help clear up what a highlander is, and yes it is 4x4. The swap was done by me, I am not a certified toyota mechanic but I am a certified mechanic at hertz auto rental. And the swap was done at our shop.
I also work 6 days a week so I don't think it will be possible for me to go anywhere too far.
