Anybody use this Kenwood subwoofer?

mounted under their seat? It's the Kenwood powered KSC-SW1.

Anybody know if this will mount under the drivers seat of a first generation 4runner?
I had big plans of doing great things with a sub, but it's just turned into too much work, and I'm ready to get the ole' girl out on the road. So, looking for something easy to install but will also sound ok as well.

I'm 95% sure it will not fit under the either of the seats. I had my control box for my on board air under the seat, it was 2 inch's tall. It fit, but there wasn't 1 11/16 more inches of space of above that. Plus I don't think the 15 3/4 inch length will fit either. There is a ridge in the floor that the front seat mounts bolt to and then the seat gets lower in the back.

If you really want it, make yourself a box out of card board and test it to be 100% sure.

After that you could look into lifting your seat with like several people have done.

how about looking into the Earthquake SWS subs? I'm picking up the pair of 6.5's and a 10" to experiment with. www.earthquakesound.com
