iPod to the rescue

Woke up this morning and booted the PC.
Had a message waiting for me to click on that I had a corrupt ref file, but it had been recovered from a log file.

I clicked OK, and rebooted.
It hung up at the blue Welcome screen.

Tried it several times, same thing.

Stuck in the XP Pro CD and did a custom fix, but it did not help much, it ran like crap.
I did a quick backup to my external drive, then formatted and reloaded XP.

After I got my Outlook 2003 loaded, and imported the pst backup file, all my mail was there, but my contact list was not.

But luckily my entire contact list was mirrored on my iPod.
Although I had to type out all of my contacts in again, at least I had them.

I do not think there would have been a way to transfer them off of the iPod directly to XP.

But at least I have them.
The little iPod never ceases to amaze me.
Great little tool and toy

I know you're a PC gamer, so wait until someone hacks a good dual-boot sytem onto the new Mac Intel Duos. Then get one and you'll get a chance to understand where the iPod technology evolved from. It's part of the whole "transparent technology" viewpoint that permeates Apple.
