Basslink vs. Basslink x

I'm in the market for a basslink which I'll probably get off ebay in the next few weeks. I saw that there two kinds being sold currently, the standard Basslink and the Basslink X.

Is there any real difference between these two? The difference in price is about $150 from Infinity's webpage but on ebay the two are relatively close in price. The only change I can see is a clear enclosure.

there are 3.

basslink I, basslink II and basslink X. I and X are 200 watt powered subs... the II is a 250 watt sub.

all i can see thats different between the I and X is that the X has remote (versus wired) volume control (which i have on my basslink I thanks to my HU) and it has a ricey clear case

basslink X has a non-wired remote? how does that work, does it have to be in line of sight to function?

no clue.

id assume its just a pretty strong and sensitive remote and sensor since most subs are designed to be in trunks / tucked away.

I've played with them all save the X and the basslink 2 blows them ALL out of the water sonically...

I've got the basslink 2, it's pretty damn good. I only wish it went below 50 Hz though.
