FS: 1997 4Runner in Maine
FS 1997 4Runner V-6 5speed 4wd, silver Sr-5 162,000 miles. 20-21 mpg. Has a/c, pw, pdl, cruise, sun roof, CD player 16" wheels, 2nd owner, runs great no issues. Good tires. . New pads & rotors out front, rear shoes are good. I have the service records since I bought it at 139,000. Not that it needed alot of service. Looking for $6,500 or possible a trade for a tacoma. I just bought a vw tdi to get better mileage.

sorry, I don't believe it does. Can anyone tell me how I can tell? I am pretty sure it doesn't though

Look for a button on the dash to the left side of the steering wheel marked "RR DIFF LOCK"

I am missing that button so I assume I didn't get the diff lock.

might consider trading for a tacoma. I could use a truck more than a 4ruuner

FYI: 2wd 4runners were never equipped with lockers

Good Point!! I've onwed V-Dubs before. Good thing my best friend is owns a VW-Audi shop... Toyota is definately better in terms of reliability.
Ideally I'd like to sell this and use the $$ to buy a Tacoma in similar shape.
Thanks for the info. I've have people offering me in the mid 5K range, and I think I am going to keep it for that price.

Not really looking to spend any more $$$. Just trying to find a truck I can use to move a few things around on the weekends.
I still have it. I have about 2 people a weekend that look at it, and I never hear back. It runs and drives great, no leaks, etc. I don't get it...
Anyone out there have a Tacoma or wanna buy a 4Runner??
