1988 SR5 4Runner with 7MGTE Supra swap, R150F, other mods

Well, as much as I love the thing, I'm selling it. For an easier to read listing with more pics, look here:
http://www.webpages.uidaho.edu/~simm8647/indexF.htm

Interior pics are posted here!

Current Specs:
JDM 7M-GTE swap
-Fresh factory head gasket installed prior to engine swap
-Approx 15k miles on swap; approx 65k miles total on engine
-Front belt groove shaved off on crankshaft pulley
Upgraded CT-26 turbocharger
-60-1 Compressor wheel
-No Clipping on exhaust
-Installed about 4k miles ago
-Purchased from Rob Jackson, professionally rebuilt with seals replaced
-Currently boosting to 13psi
Power output (everyone wants to know...)
-It's currently not tuned and running rich (on the safe side), and I haven't had it dyno'd, so it's hard to say exactly. But, here is some information from the supra community and Rob Jackson:
-With the current mods, when tuned it would produced 375hp at the crankshaft.
-If the boost is increased to 17psi, it would produce 450hp at the crank, but a metal head gasket should be installed for this boost level.
-It's ridiculously fast, and a pleasure to drive
Custom Bell housing to mate to R150F Transmission
Toyota dealer rebuilt R150F
-Rebuilt January 2005
High performance clutch
-3200lb pressure plate
-Six puck sprung hub clutch disc
-Throw out bearing needs to be replaced
Aluminum radiator
Flex a lite dual pusher fan, thermostat controlled
Custom Intercooler
-All aluminum
-Core measures approximately 30" x 10" x 2"
-2" diameter inlet/oulet
Custom 2" Intercooler piping
550cc injectors
LS400 MAF housing
3" exhaust all the way back
-Custom down pipe
-Bung welded into down pipe for wide band O2 sensor, in addition to stock O2 sensor bung
-Catalytic converter installed with bolt on flanges for easy removal and test pipe installation
K&N Air Filter
Custom Oil Pan
-Approximately 6.5 quart capacity
-Oil pickup moved slightly to accommodate front diff
Recently rebuilt power steering pump
32x11.5 Wild Country TXR tires
26mm Torsion Bars
1" body lift
Extra leaf in rear spring pack
More about the chassis:
-166k miles
-Body is very straight
-Paint is faded and chipping on the front end
-No rust on the body
-Slight surface rust on the L shaped metal panels that connect to the fiberglass top, near the rear seat sliding windows
-Passenger side rain gutter on the fiberglass top is partially torn off - looks like someone caught a ski rack on a tree
-Recently converted to AISIN manual locking hubs
-Power windows, locks, steering
-Flip up sunroof
-Cloth interior, in good shape pics on the way
-Has cruise, but it doesn't work. I believe the switch cluster is bad, and I have a new one but haven't installed it
Bushwhacker fender flares
TJM front bumper coated with LINEX
Warn 9000lb winch

$6500 OBO
It's currently located in my hometown, Post Falls, Idaho.

-Mike

Yep, it's from the 87-92 supra, and it's the turbocharged version. This engine and the naturally aspirated version (the 7MGE) are the ones typically used in the now somewhat common 'supra swap'.

I haven't had it dyno'd, so it's hard to say exactly. In stock trim, that engine puts out 265lbft torque and 240hp at the crank. At the crank, I'm sure you can add at least 100 to each of those figures in it's current trim.
It could benefit from an SAFC or something similar to tune the fuel curve, as it is running rich. That would improve the power substantially.
Thanks!

I've gotten anywhere from 12 to 24, depending on how much I put my foot into it I recently drove it from Huntington Beach, CA, to Post Falls, ID, and averaged 17.5MPG with an average speed of 80-85MPH.

Yo Mike what you doing in Cali? Not sure if you remember me but I stopped by one day when you lived in Moscow and drove your truck. I had the White 2nd Gen with the Yakima Rack. For all those asking questions I can tell you that after driving it yes it's got some serious balls!! Next time you go North through Cali get in touch with me I live about 40 miles from Sacramento I could meet you off I-5 someplace.

Yeah I remember you, it's Joey, right? I remember your truck too; it's nice. You drove the 4Runner before I added the upgraded turbo, fuel, and intercooler, so you'd really be impressed by it now.
I moved to cali last summer after I graduated college, and it looks like I'll be here for a while. The cost of living here sucks, but my job is pretty sweet and the weather's great

Talking Wow!

So you say yor in Cali? Has the 4 runner gone through a smog test? What is the manufacture date of the engine? or what year supra was it taken out of? In Ca the engine has to be same year as the car or newer if you have replaced it. Really nice truck! Is the cat easy to take off so you can change the pipes for a smog test?

Thanks

Casey

good luck with the sale, whoever buys this truck wont be dissapointed. He's done everything as it should be, short of the fuel control like he stated.

The 4Runner hasn't been smog tested. The ECU is the 89-92 version, so yes, the engine is considered newer than the vehicle and it should be smoggable in California. The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system is not installed right now, and it would be necessary to pass smog. I believe I have all of the EGR parts, and they come with the 4Runner.
The cat is installed with standard three bolt flanges, so it's easily removable. You could build a test pipe easily enough with the same flanges if you like.
Glad you like the truck

Thanks Jeremy. I hate to see it go, but I just don't have the time to enjoy it anymore. I'm sure someone else does though.
