stock rear springs up front and chevys rear

how much lift do they give? with an allpro front hanger kit and their long shackles. how much total lift do i get out of going this route?

also, when putting chevy rear springs in the rear: what years do i want, 4x4 or 2wd. and after the relocation of the front hanger and rear shackle, once again, how much lift height is acheived. thanks

Have you read the FAQs provided to you above ??
There are plenty of pics in those.

I don't have any pics of my Chevy swap or rears up front here at work, but here's a so-so shot of them at work.

yea i read them. looks interesting. i want to do it but i want an overall 4" of lift with out doing a body lift. i dont know if those springs will give me that much. the faq says 2-3 but i wonder if longer shackles would lift it more?

Longer shackles will give lift:

Not to hijack, but do you have to get crossover steering to run rears up front? Seeing as how it moves the axle 2 inches forward.

no. but if you ever flex it all the way your going to snap your steering arm. you can do it just dont flex it. which makes it a waste of time. not sure about what happens about the axle moving forward. shouldnt be that big of deal. main thing is the arms breaking.

You could modify/replace stock steering components to compensate, but x-over steering is a much better way, and works much better than the stock steering. And x-over steering allows you to do away with the travel limiting torque rod (that link between the axle and frame).

I am not sure of total lift but it works well! Have to have hysteer. Probably will need to add blocks in the rear with longer shackles w/o body lift. 35's no issues and they flex well. It is a fairly nice suspension w/o the money invested. Pirate is the board with all your answers when it comes to all the possible combinations for springs and the sort. Good Luck!

If you can't find what you are looking for in those threads that Red 85 put up for us, you are just not trying. I mean we can't just come over and do the swap for you guys. Eventually you are goning to have to lift that pig up and get dirty.

All said with love.
