okay. i know there are the rebuild kits out there for the front callipers(sp?). i have never done it. question though!

one piston is frozen. that is it! i got it to go back in, but not easily. i put some steering fluid on it before i re-seated it. but my question is...realistically...and i looking at having to either rebuild it or replace it? or have others had good luck at this working?

if i do have to rebuild...i know autozone doesn't have a rebuild kit. anyone know of someplace rather than toyota who does? and how do i get the pistons out with an air compressor? i am guessing that if i let the pistons come out on their own with the pads removed, that there will be a sprinkler of fluid, no?

Rather than getting a kit and trying to rebuild it, you'd be better off just getting a reman'd caliper instead. It will save you alot of time and guarantee that the rebuild was done right. It can be done, but not suggested on a daily driver.

and thanks for not picking on me for typing the wrong type of fluid i put on it. i put BRAKE fluid on the pistons...not steering. lol!
