Just Changed the Fuel Filter! Starts Better!
#1
Been putting this small project off for some time......I was sure my "luck" would strike and I would strip a bolt or something would break...
But....the new year has started very well!!
I soaked the nuts/lines with PB Blaster for the last 2 days and low and behold...off they came!
Was pretty easy after that and now she seems to start faster...not as much cranking!
Anyways...Just wanted to say Thanks to you guys for another project I learned about here.....

Yeah, that was my biggest fear: stripping some threads! Scared me to death! I once stripped out the carburetor on my Oldsmobile changing the carb mounted fuel filter when I was young, and it's haunted me since then. On the Toy, I took my time and did it slow, and performed the job correctly though. My truck is so low mileage, everything was clean and free of corrosion, and so came apart easily. Between that job and the new plugs, the idle smoothed out and the starts are quicker. We done good!
