Anybody has Pioneer in-dashed DVD AVH-P7500DVD installed?

I recently had this AVH-P7500DVD (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...986436,00.html) installed in my 2001 4Runner. It works really great except one thing...I have to lift the hand brake to play DVD While driving. At first I thought the tech didn't set it up correctly...I called Pioneer and they said that is the way it suppose to work. I just want to listen to the music not watching the Video. I heard that there is a way to make this work without lifting the hand brake. Anybody have any suggestion?

Thanks for your help!

Henry

you have to disable the handbrake safty switch that was installed specificly so you arnt watching movies while the car is moving (so the theory goes)

The cd player plays fine without the e-brake pulled or are you talking about music on a dvd?
