Wacom Tablet for Photoshop etc.

Anyone using one of these tablets?

Wacom Tablet

I got a Wacom Intuos3 6x11 for Christmas and just started playing around with it tonight. This thing has some SERIOUS potential. I need a bigger desk now though...

Cool thing is, the wireless mouse and wireless pen don't ever take batteries. Somehow it works with the tablet and is very precise - it knows where the pointers are and no batteries to replace. Pretty cool...

The other really cool thing is that it can sense pen pressure. In Photoshop, it will either make a thin line gradually thicker based on pressure or can also be opacity based due to pressure.

that looks pretty cool.

must save time between going back and keying or clicking different brush sizes and such. plus, i'd imagine, open new doors of creativity one would want to avoid using a mouse alone.

keep us updated on your impressions of it, i'm curious how that potential pans out.

I have an older Intuos2 9x12 and they are amazing, especially in a true paint program like Painter. The pen is not only pressure sensitive but also tilt sensitive (great for airbrush work). Enjoy the tablet
