Grand Junction - Billings and 21 Road around New Years

So we are doing an add hock trip don't have firm dates. Anyone have time to go. I want to head over on Dec 27th and maybe stay through new years, maybe run over to Moab for a trail or 2. Josh (3TRDMarine) has been checking both runs for the ice status and so far it looks good. Who is interested??

Dammit you guys - doesn't anyone in the colorado, NM, Utah area wheel in the winter??? *grin* Ok here is the definitive shizzy....

We are running 21 road and billings on the 30th and 31st of January in Grand Junction. We have several hotel rooms and plan to party on new years. Then drive over to Moab on the 1st (Hangovers permitting) and run Hells revenge on the 1st and then prolly something easier like fins and things or Cliffhanger - though I vote Moab rim) on the 2nd. Then drive back to Denver than night.

Who's thinking of being in? I already got a crew of 10 assorted Toyota and Jeepers in on this.

I call being trail winch wench for the trip!

Come on Jackals you know you want some quality Billings and Moab time over New Years...

I wheel in the winter all the time, but isn't 21 road extreme? My hunk of junk isn't up to that kind of abuse. Nor is it up to Hell's revenge, and i've been on cliff hanger, and don't care to repeat it. You guys wouldn't have any fun on the trails i drive, and i can't drive the ones you do. Not trying to leave you hanging, you're just a few levels above my capabilities.

Dude don't knock yourself. You'll be there someday :-) Yeah actually Billings is even more insane than 21 road.... And if ya didn't like cliffhanger then ya won't like Moab rim, which I like to run at night for added "Molly is Crazy" effect.

Those trails are way too extreme for me, plus I don't care for wheeling in the winter. I have had too many bad experiences on snow and ice.

Tru dat about the snow and Ice. But I have my scouts out there working for me. If the weather goes bad and we get too much ice we may not wheel certain trails. (Like Billings and Moab Rim) Assuming it is sunny - Hells revenge should stay mostly clear, though I may skip escalator this time.

Dude, Hells Revenge is gravy, I ran it with 3" of lift open and no protection (did not get body damage either)... Ya should go. I'll be the runt of group, trying to get some non-SASed trucks to go up...

Yeah, don't scare all us pretty much stockers away... LMAO. Now remember these obstacles (ie: escalader and the hot tub) are optional... So yeah, bring your IFS Tacos, 4Runners and whatever else and lets tear some chit up...

Don't forget to bring your pallets of wood! It isn't a 4 wheeling event in Moab without a proper Toyota fire!

Well If I still lived in littleton I would join you but Im stuck in this god forsakin state for a few more years.
Have fun goodluck and god bless........

I guess I am just making futile attempts at trying to get some more people to show up. Too bad ya still don't live around here, ya'd have no excuse... Happy Holidays all ya'll out there on Yotatech
