My new ride, FJ62, 30k miles!!!
I just bought a 89 FJ62 with 30k miles! Sorry, no pics yet, I have not picked it up yet. It is dark blue and is completely stock. It was owned by an elderly couple, they were the first owners. They hardly drove it and thats why it has about 30k on it. Interior is mint, the outside is very clean too, it has a very very small rust spot which is only surface near the rear wheel well. They just got the rear solid brake lines replaced, the e-brake line was replaced and the cap, rotor, plugs and wires replaced, also a new battery was installed. The tires are 1 month old. The fuel filter is also new.
My main concern is with its age, what should I be concerned about? I want to keep it fairly stock for now and use as a weekend driver. What should I be replacing as far as fluids, etc? The oil was changed on it regularly and the engine runs fine. With the age, although very low miles, what should I be concerned about?

Wow, congrats! How did you find it? Mind saying what you paid?
Like you said, replace all the fluids including coolant, trans flush w/torque converter, brake flush and it would be a good time to get the injectors removed and cleaned. I'd also replace the EGR valve and modulator, belts and hoses, air filter and torque the head followed by valve adjustment.
Sounds like a fun ride, perfect for your climate from snow to beach sand. I'm jealous.

found it in upstate ny, in the local paper. i was lucky to be the first one to be seeing it, the seller had quite a few phone calls and he said everyone was very interested. if i had waited even another day it would have been gone no doubt.
