Aight yota techies... help me save this flash file on my HD
http://youtube.com/player.swf?video_id=ov6aySSHmVg
alright the video in that link of the Toyota BJ70 pulling the H2 out of the sand, how do I save it to my HD in a format I can play off my HD? Perferably a video file, not a flash file.
I've gone into my temporary internet files and extracted the file I believe to be the movie file, but it does not have an extension and any extension I give it (.swf, .mpg, .avi, .wmv etc etc) does not work.
Any ideas?

a quick scan of the source file didnt show anyhting. usually you can read the souce file and find the src address and then write a website wiht a link to the source file and right click and save as. however sicne this doesnt appear to be the standard video file, i dont know if it will work. i need to get some sleep now, but i will take a deeper look tomorrow.

First off, a head's up. That link you have has some stuff on it that's not acceptable based on the YT rules and regs.
This is an isolated link without all the stuff around it:
http://youtube.com/player.swf?video_id=ov6aySSHmVg
Past that... they've done an interesting thing... The flash wrapper is being used to stream the video, the video file itself doesn't seem to ever be cached on the PC.
I tried using Web Stream Recorder, and all it catches is the flash streamer, not the video.
Interesting.. I'll keep playing a bit. Cool video btw!
