my 884runner never had a washer fluid bottle on it when i bought it, im working on wiring up a squirter motor and running the lines. i found the wires that control the motor, and they have power but now I cant figure out where the washer fluid bottle should live. can someone with a V6 1st gen 4runner get me a picture under their hood of where the factory bottle is. i cant find a decent spot or decent bottle in any junk yards that i can fit under my hood. a factory pictures might help me locate the right part. thanks for the help.

 

Don't know if your 1st gen is like my 2nd but mine is located right in front of the battery on the pass. side attached to the front core support by a top brace. Notice the bottle on the pass side

 

hmmm, not sure if one would fit there on my truck, looks like ive only got maybe 1.5" between the battery and core support. hopefully someone with a 1st gen will chime in. im gonna go to a few more salvage yards on friday and see if i can find anything i could make work.

 

yeh mine has a small space for it too...got some snow to go tend to now and see how bad these swampers are gonna slide....

 

the bottle is in the same spot on the 1st gens, check it over for spilts or cracks. if the junk yard has more than one, get two. nothing worse than no washer fluid in the winter.

To confirm, on my 88 V6 the washer bottle is right behind the battery just like the 2nd gens.
