injector wiring 1988 22re

injector wiring 1988 22re

ok i have replaced the head with a new head the other two had too much shaved off one had .040 and the other had .050 shaved off .when i was putting the head back on washed thr engine compartment down and washed the tags off the injector wiring the manual i have does not giveme any help with the wire numbers doe sany one out there have the wire numbers so im not guessing witch one goes were .

it should be pretty much self explanatory, the injector wires are only long enough to go on one way, the shortest one goes to #1 the next shortest one goes to #2 and so on, at least thats how it is on my '86 harness

It is not extremely important wherre each plug goes since the 22re is a batch fire motor. All of the injectors get grounded and fire at the same time. However like said above, its obvious to see which plug goes to which injector by their length out of the harness (at least it was in my case).

Actually i think that they fire in pairs, so if you had 1&3 firing at the same time youd be good, but not if 1&2 were. if you get my point,

That just doesn't work...

1 & 3 can be interchanged as well as 2 & 4, but it'll be hard to do that because the length of 1 won't reach to 3.

thanks to every one that replied i got it running and it running good now i just need to get all the vacum lines in there right place
