tips for banging out crunched bumper
while wheeling i dipped into a water hole and sunk down a quick slope (didnt see that under the water!) and hit a buried rock...
this is the damage:

im gonna remove my bumper and try to bang it out.
any tips for me?

this also bent my flare in so it rubs my tire on right turns... i just sawed off a piece of the flare so thats ok

last winter i slid into a bank on ice...thankfully the bumper was bent and not dented...the lower valence was toast(25 for a new one...no big deal)..but as for the buper i just took my toyota jack, put it against the front tire...and cranked it out...you would never know that the bupmer was bent....
But i looks like you might have to do a little more than that to yours...sounds like a perfict time for a bull bar

On an edited, and more serious note...
My roomie had a similar dent and was able to pound it out with a dead blow hammer (sand filled). While it wasn't perfect, it was a heck of a lot better. Took some Griots to the scratch, and it was even better.

go to harbor freight. get an auto body repair dollie and a dead blow hammer. take the bumper off, put it on something solid that won't scratch it (like a piece of wood on the concrete) and put the dollie on the inside over the dimple. pound it w/ the dead blow to get it back out. it will never be perfect, but you can get it close.
