Great News! Off-Road Rear Bumpers for 2nd Gen 4R, FREE!

Just like the title says!

A new friend of mine happens to be the metalshop/welding teacher at a local high schools 2 year metal tech program.

We got to talking and he said if I provide good plans and specs, it will be a great senior project for a few guys to make. The school will even supply the steel for the most part. When its done, its mine.

Now I'm off to the drawing board.

Basic plan it to keep is somewhat minamalist. A lot like Schaffers bumper but with sides that taper down. A hitch, shackle tabs, recessed lights (rear fog and work lamps) and the ability to use the stock tire carrier too.

Anyonw know of an online auto-cad type deal? I can draft real good with paper and a t-square, but its so slow.

The seniors decided to make a 3 foot steel bong instead.

YUP!

You can even have these guys make it for you, and then you can see how the school boys' product compares to something professional!

Granted, I haven't used this software so I'm not 100% positive that you could print out a design without sending it off to be made. hmmm...they do offer rapid prototyping!

Yeah, this never happened. The guy I knew got moved to woodshop and I hardly think a wooden bumber "wood" work.

I went with a BCC insted, I don't think it is much better than what I could have had done at the HS.
