Do I take out the rear bumpers?

Do I take out the rear bumpers?

howdy guys.. im getting ready to install OME 891 rear coils in my 99 4runner and I was looking around at some pictures and I saw acouple of them were guys didnt have the bump stops inside the springs any more.... is this a normal thing or what? I would htink I would keep them, but any thoughts?

I took my bumpstops out of the rear... It's a 14mm bolt in there I think.

The rear3rd gen OEM bumper stops are a cone...they just fit on top of the coils and are held in place by the coil. You need a rear bump stop, whether the cone OEM one or some alternative.
