Picture proof that *gasp* I do wheel my rig

Finally made it to Paragon last saturday. Had an awesome group (a 1st gen 4Runner, two 3rd gens, an FJ40, and an 80 series (I think)), ran some good trails, had a great time. Here are the pics of my rig - I'll let the other yotatechers post the pics of their rigs. I didn't have my camera with me, so thanks to greg and tim for the pics. Also - a HUGE thanks to greg for the spotting.

Whompum - Blue 2

Whompum - I love this pic

Whompum - using the sliders

The Slop (not sure what trail it was on)... nasty run of about 100 yards - 1' deep water with another 8" or so of nastyness at the bottom. The water actually helped keep the tread clean.

The Slop - didn't do this on purpose... a little too much skinny pedal when the tires suddenly found traction. Here's the video (wmv, 2mb) - some profanity, so keep the volume down if at work.

The Slop - unfortunately, there's no more water, just the nastyness

The Slop - this is what I mean by nastyness

Both of them have taken LOTS of abuse. If you look close in the last pic, the slider flexed up far enough to put a little ding in the sheetmetal.

Nothing much... more abuse to the sliders, and a couple of small digs (one from rubbing a tree, one from a slider flexing up into the sheetmetal).

Oh, and a trashed bushing on my upper a-arms... not sure how much of that was from the wheeling or just general wear and tear, but I noticed it after wheeling.

sweet.

looks like your TJM has moved on the brackets or something. i'm seeing about a 1" gap b/w the bumper and the trim on the Pass side but 1.5"-2" on the driver side. you may want to check that out. could be loose mounting bolts. don't want to have it flopping around and moving on ya...

I had assumed he put a body lift on and never moved the bumper up...

Yea, I think it has slid down some over the last year or so... but I think it's just the constant vibration, not really loose bolts. I do have to re-align it, just haven't gotten around to it.

With the 2" BL, it never really looks "good".

This might interest you, modifying the TJM for a body lift.

yea... I plan on doing something... just not sure when. Because of the added height, I want to make sure I don't lose any strength.
