2nd lower control arm mounts

Ok so I had this idea. I can see the lower control arm mounts getting hung up on stuff (the ones that attach to the frame). So I though about making mounts that would actually be in the frame. i.e I'd cut in to the frame, weld in reinforcements and the use that as a mount. It'd allow for longer control arms and a flatter belly and it'd look cool. The only question I have is: would this screw up the suspension geometry a lot? I could have my roommates crunch the numbers but thought I'd post it here first and see what people thought.

P.S.-I have a really badass bumper design that I should be able to build over xmas break.

How will you allow for uptravel if the links are in the frame?

funny i should read this, ive been talking to Jed at Armorology about this very subject, we wont cut into the frame, but he will some how make new mounts that are shorter and stronger, this isnt going to be a priority, but its on my list.
let us know what you come up with, and keep us posted, when we get around to mine, ill do the same.

Yes it will fudge the geometry. Those links are short and finicky.

Advice? Brace them and wheel it. Buy my links in a couple weeks and give it hell. I doubt you will be using the truck as hard as I did and this rear set up works perfect.

You can easily relocate the mounts, but you'll need to recalculate your roll center and anti squat numbers. Use the 4-link calculator provided on PBB, being off by a 1/2" makes a huge difference........
