When using the CD Player only getting sound from 4 speakers...
Okay I have a '95 4runner w/ 6 speakers from the facotry(2 in the front/dash, 2 in the back cargo area and 2 all the way in the back above the rear window).
Like 2 days after I got the truck 3 years ago I installed an after market Panosonic CD Player, and 2 after market infinity speakers in front 'cause one of the stockers was blown out.
Here is what I've noticed: when listening to the Radio it actually sounds great, decent bass, and supringsly clear. Okay when I play the CD Player its nothing but highs...its clear but no bass at all.
What I've recently realized is that when the radio is working all 6 speakers are pumping out sound but when the CD is playing only the front speakers and 2 small speakers on top the rear window work???
Obviously if the side panel rear speakers aren't working there is going to be a lack of bass.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks.

The only problem you have (or i had) when you tie both blue wires together is that your antenna goes up any time you are listening to ANYTHING. Dont know about you, but it drove me nuts. Put a CD in and up goes the mast. I added a switch for the antenna so that i could control when it goes up and when it doesnt. May not be something you care about, just wanted to make sure you were aware.

but if it does have a power antenna, just look at the lable on the wire, or get out a volt metter and see which one goes on all the time and hook it up to the speaker amp, and the one that goes with the radio would go tho the antenna.

Thanks man...I'm going to fix the problem this weekend. So basically the guys at Circuit City that installed it had no idea of this? See what you get for the "free installation" specials!
Did you stereo pump out all "highs" when playing a CD before? I'm looking foward to my stereo to sound a lot better in CD.
