Removed my rear bumper...

Removed my rear bumper to a little more needed clearance. On the passengers side there is a couple wires that come out of the body and look as though they just run the light for the rear license plate. Where or how can I relocate the wires coming out of the body? The truck is a 1990 if that matters.

looks like you will have to undo the harness and then take apart the interior plastic panels and run them through there. take a look at my sound deadening write up to get an idea of what's involved in removing interior body panels: http://www.4runners.org/articles/sound

looks like you might also have to tap a hole in your rear exterior (metal) and run the harness out to your plate. make sure you use a rubber grommet to protect the wiring.

Rip the harness right off
That's what I did with mine anyways.
I never understood the point of the plate light... if a cop is behind you, his headlights will light up the plate anyways.
