Smile Speedometer Cable Replacement

DOES ANYONE HAVE TIPS ABOUT REPLACING THE SPEEDOMETER
CABLE...DOES THE ENTIRE DASH HAVE TO COME APART..

I had the dealer do mine on my '90, but looking one time at the manual it seemed really easy, but ya you do gotta take apart a few panels to get to it, not hard really.

You know, honestly, I don't remember

I think it was around $200 after the first initial one done for free under warranty. The noise does come back and in my opinion isn't worth paying it.

Thanks for the feedback....I was trying to justify whether to pay
$150.00 in labor or just do it myself.
