(CO) Jenny Creek

Okay, so sorry i flaked on the CO4RJ, but if anyone is interested, i was thinking about running Jenny Creek Sunday August 28th
I know digger wanted to...

If Adrian or anyone else wants a seat, they're welcome to mine, otherwise i'm sure others will have a seat open.

This trail is not that hard, but is fun and pretty, Digger might have to back on one part to make a turn, but hard to say.

EDIT: The trail will be run on Sunday August 28th. We will meet at Rollinsville at the intersection of 119 and 16 road at 10:30 am...We will use CB Channel 4

Not too interested in slaughterhouse, it's pretty easy and kinda ugly...jenny creek is prettier, but also not too hard...we'll see.

Okay, so lets move this to sunday so we don't conflict with the slee off road event, since most of us are in the vicinity of slee anyway...

Digger, we cool to do jenny, or are you gonna head up to slaughterhouse on sunday,

Mayhem, it'd be great to meet you and this would be a ton of fun...

I'll go, looks like a fun trail, and not extremely far from home.

Do either of you have Well's guide book for colorado trails, Vol2, if not, then see if you can grab a copy, there are great directions in there

If I was going to be around I would go. It seems like I have been busy all summer. I ran Jenny Creek a couple of weeks ago, it's a little too easy now for mine but still fun, I did it in 2wd and at twice the speed. It is a great place to camp so we usually run it at night, less crowd. We did get a little excitement a jeep got suck and we had to tie my vehicle and my buddies jeep together and then use my winch whlie my buddy had his jeep in reverse just to get him out.

Where did the jeep get stuck?

I imagine you have to go pretty far now to find difficult stuff for your runner Jeff, but it's too bad you couldn't come and hang out...Maybe next time

Whats the rating of this trail in the trail guide? I've looked on a couple sites for the rating and have come up with 4 and 7. I won't be able to do the trail if it is anything over 5, or 6 if im lucky. My A/T tires are pretty much down to street slicks and I don't have anything special under my rig.

Jenny sounds like fun. It's right in my back yard (I live 5 miles north of Black Hawk, just off 119). Where do you folks meet up?

So it's Sunday now?
And what's Slee doing on Saturday? (I pass them every day, when I come down Golden Gate Canyon.)

EDIT: Never Mind, I found the Slee post!

Kyle, i saw you did wheeler, this will be easy compared...i did it last year in a totally stock truck

Bobzooki, you are more than welcome, i'm thinking we meet at rollinsville at like 10 or 10:30...this trail is short, so no worries...I want to run the trail uphill, not down like described in Well's guide

Mayhem, by going a different way i mean i am going by way of nederland, whereas you guys would probably come from golden, but whatever floats your boat...I will lead the trail, unless someone else wants too, but i know it pretty well...(done it a couple times)

Unfortunatly I have to admit... I had to park my runner before the first obsticle, I probably would've made it, but it would've taken a very very long time.
