FJ80 Rear Coils on a 3rd gen?

Do Fj80 rear coils work on the rear of a 3rd gen? Or are they different diameters?

Nevermind. They won't work.

Give Jeff a call at Maui Offroad. They have done a dozen or so 3rd gens with the Trailmaster 6" kit. If I remember correctly they use a coil spring from a Bronco (don`t know if it`s fullsize or II) for the rear, no spacers. He said it matches the front, the ride is a bit stiff but that is their solution for the TM kit and the Fabtech 6" kit.

FJ/FZJ80 FRONT coils work in the REAR of a 3rd gen - about 3-3.5" from a stock 80 coil. lift coils will obvioulsy give more.

JBoy - I'll give them a call.

Andy - Interesting. I didn't know the fronts would fit the rear.

For some reason, Slee offroad emailed me saying that their rear FJ80 coils would fit my 3rd gen rear. But, would be too stiff. I think he is thinking that I have a 2nd gen.
