you will have to add your own wires and amp! its easy for the most part! there is directions with the amp! my bro has a 92 toy with premium sound and it was easy to do!

You could also pick up a pair of 6x9 speaker enclosures, and some 6x9's of course, that you could easily lay on the rear floor behind the seats and pick up some serious mid and bass frequencies and if you wanted to, still have room for a sub, although my bet would be to mount two 8's, opposite to one another, in an enclosure that you could fab for the under dash, center console!!

Well I won't say my system sounds great or anything, but there is enough room in the doors to add some 6-1/2" speakers. I'm sure with decent speakers and maybe some extra sound deadening in the doors it would sound pretty decent. Of course you still may want to amplify them, and or go with a subwoofer in addition to those, but they make a reasonable difference just by themselves.

I've put 6.5" speakers in those pockets in the extended cab. Just gotta fab the right kinda mounting brackets. A competent car audio shop could do it for you.

you mean those little cubbies? cause in the rear panels, it looks likes a little grill for a 4" speaker right below those cubbies.

That's exactly what I mean. All you'd need is a pirce of plywood cut out to fit the hole of the cubby. The little door you take off of the covering serves as a perfect template. Get the plywood covered with some vinyl material, and mount the speaker onto it with wood screws. Run your wires, then screw the plywood into the opening (into those little flanges surrounding the opening) and you're set.

Sorry, I didn't take any pics of my setup, but I'm sure plenty of people have 'em. Take a trip out to your local audio shop... I"m sure they've done a few.

I wish I would have taken a picture of the sub in my '91 extracab. I took the driver side cargo door below the passenger seat out, used it as a template to make a plywood plate, I then mounted a 10" Rockford Fosgate subwoofer from below and put wire mesh on top to protect the sub. Then I carpeted the entire plate. I then used that house caulking foam to seal the compartment. Took two cans. I then screwed in the sub plate. It was flush and you could use the seat when needed. I used a 400-watt mono MA Audio amp to push the sub. I had two JBL 6x9's in the rear compartment side panels pushed by the radio. It was very nice.

Good luck!

No, but it's not hard to do. All you need is wood, something to cut the wood with, and something to cover the wood with. Use your imagination.

Yes, because you don't want to overwhelm the space available and 6's may actually be better than 6.5's.

I'd ditch the 4" speakers, put some components in the doors and add an 8" or 10" sub in the back. and ya, you should add an amp even though you have a pioneer deck. deck power is mediocre at best.
