Oh yea! Well Mine is cleaner than your's!

About three day's a week I spend in mud , water dust and rocks and at times you can't even see the color of my Tacoma but I do take good care of it and spend time cleaning it. This is the way I like to keep it . My mechanic just shakes his head and smiles every time he opens the hood. It sure makes it nicer to work on when needed, Mike[IMG][/IMG]

Looks like some of you guy's really take pride in cleaning your's too! Sure hope mine looks that good when and if it reaches 17 years old.

For you guy's who want to clean your's up I'm sure you can get allot of ideas and help from some of the guy's right here.
If you have never cleaned it or it's been a while then I would have it steam cleaned the first time and only after a good soaking of an engine cleaner and Simple green on the rest of it. A tooth brush and some cheap paint brushes can help with the small tight spots.
On the hoses I like to use Maguires interior cleaner and spray the hell out of anything plastic or rubber. Let it sit a while and then wipe it off. A sponge rubber brush really does a nice job for the underside of the hoses and tight spots. Just spray some on the sponge brush.
You really have to keep up with it. I keep everything I need in my tool box and on my way home from 4-wheelin I stop at the car wash and work it over. Raise the hood and wash it real good and rinse. When I get home and the engine and hoses have cooled I'll do the detailing. The firewall and wheel wells I do with spray wax. It keeps the dirt from stcking so bad. Mike
