Well, I got some new meats.

Cooper Discoverer S/T 255/85 R16's (33.1 inches tall, 10 inches wide)

This is on the stock rims, with the stock suspension lift. Eventually, I'll be getting a new rear leaf pack and some new coilovers.

There is the slightest rubbing when turning, and I'm just about to go and find out how much it rubs when I flex it out. Anyways, here's the pics:





stock, compaired to these guys. Keep in mind that the stock tires are not mounted on a rim nor have any weight on them.

 

looks good man. how much wider is the 285/75 from the 255/85?

 

Your new rubber looks good but tell me, why is there what looks to be solder splatters on your new tires ?

I would be willing to bet that they rub like and under-sexed monkey at full stuff.

Just got back from some flexing. Some rubs, but barely any trimming will get rid of it completely.

Yeah, the 255/85's can go on stock with out anything major going on. The 285/75's would rub quite a bit, plus I'd imagine that you'd need new rims with more backspacing, but i'm not sure

yep, completely, 100% stock.

Well, i've got air shocks in the rear to level it out for the canopy, but it's still stock height.

An update. AMAZING off road. These tires grip like no other. They ride very nice considering they are an 8 ply. And being so narrow makes them turn on a dime in anything loose. In fact they turn so sharp that I can swing my back end out by simply turning.

 

New tires don't qualify as a "mod". You gotta do something for it to be a "mod" other than drive to the tire shop!
