Intro To Wheeling - NorCal Sat Mar 8
#1
Our club is hosting a beginners event at Hollister Hills on Saturday March 8 at 10:00 a.m. We did this about a year and a half ago and it was quite successful.
This event is open to all 4 wheel drive vehicles. It is geared toward those with little or no wheeling experience. We will start the day with a safety talk and some wheeling tips. Afterwards, we will spend the rest of the day playing in the park in a safe, controlled environment.
Cost for the event is only $4.00 per vehicle for your park entrance fee. Bring a lunch and your enthusiasm.
Even if you are an experienced wheeler, come on out and meet your fellow NorCal wheelers.
We will meet at the School House gate at 10:00 a.m.
This event is being held to help promote our sport of wheeling and to provide some instruction for the beginner wheeler.
Disclaimer: While we will try to provide an event as safe as possible, we can not guarantee that no vehicle will receive scratches, scrapes, dents, or suffer mechanical breakdown. Each person will attend at their own risk.

Anybody thinking of going? I would highly recommend this class to everybody. Some classes charge hundreds of dollars for the same thing and this is free (well $4). I might go.

Hey, I think we should reply to the 4x4wire forum to make it easier on Terry to know who is going. http://www.4x4wire.com/ubb/ultimateb...f=110;t=000038
I already did.

Oh I really doubt it matters where you're from. I can't speak for the club since I'm not a member, but I'm sure you'd be welcomed. It is a bit of a drive though, about 5 hours I'm guessing. It's about 2 hours to hollister from san luis obispo and about 3 hours to LA from SLO. You could make it a weekend trip and visit SF on Sunday!

I know Steve and Tom are planning to attend. Don't know if anyone else from here is planning to attend. So far we have about 20 vehicles going.
Come on out and meet some of the local Norcal wheelers.

Tom and anybody else planning on going...I don't know if you know how hollister is set up, I was a little confused when I went.
When you drive up to the place, the main entrance is on the right with big signs. Turn in there and pay the rangers (this is also where the air station is). Then turn around and head out to the main road again and continue on. A little ways up the road there is a locked gate and a school house on the right. Turn in there and open the gate with the combo the ranger gave you. Actually, there will probably be a bunch of people waiting there so it'll probably be open.
