I just bought an aftermarket hood with scoop and was wondering if its just possible to use the hardware from my old hood or is it necessary to buy extra parts that didnt come on my 4runners original hood. Im going from a 97 to 01 hood. THANKS!

 

when i did my hood scoop switch the only things i could use from the old hood were the washer squirt nozzles and the hinges and the little rubber adjusters, also used the fire retardent mat that is under the hood.....that was pretty much it....
oh just an fyi the round plastic (buttons)snaps that hold the fire retardent linning break off, at least on mine they did, and need to be replaced,

??? what i bought was the hood w/scoop all the plastic stuff that goes with it (that alone was like 250.00 since i didn't have the scoop before) the hood was 108.00 and then had it painted another 250.00
istn't that what you bought???? there is not much to reuse from the hood you take off.......
