Can't get rear door panels back on

after I upgraded my rear speakers to 5.25 MB Quarts. I used the templet to convert our 4" speakers to 5.25" but now the door panel won't fit. Please help. I have been trying to get this working for over an hours.

Thanks

what is preventing it from seating? If not the speaker just be patient and wiggle it around. Sometimes it takes a while for the door panels to go on. If you get pissed, just chill and go have a beer and come back after thinkgin about it...

Well I figured out that it is one of the mounting tabs from the speakers.I did get pissed and stopeed at 2 in the morning. I will look at a different mounting bracket to see if that helps. If not I will come back and ask some more questions

I trimmed the door panels slightly on mine and modified the home made bracket with a router. You may have to rotate the speaker to get the mounting tabs in the right place. I have some picts if you need them.

You should be able to put the top of the panel on, lay on the floor with a flashlight and see where they touch. Also shine the light in the window switch hole to see the top. I later modified mine to take 6.5" speakers so the 5.25" should not take too much modification.
