new lift option for front struts (bilsteins)

i will be getting my bilsteins in a couple of days and while searching the forum ive noticed that the HDs and probably more, have a removable spring perches, and that sometimes it can be installed incorrectly. brainstorming this configuration it reminded me of a modification that is done on some of the porches 944 struts to utilized a koni insert and a coil over conversion. since the perch is removable i have concluded that the resting point on the shock body can be sorta shimmed, in other words by puting a bushing or a collar on the body of the shock to raise the perch will give a lift. sorta like puting a spacer in the pack. grant it, it will stiffen the ride but thus it will lift it as well.

now i will be getting some of these bushings (spacers) made from stainless at work, maybe something off the shelf will work like a pipe or similar. now given this revelation i'm sure that a adjustable coil over setup could work as well, hell it works for the 944 struts. oh please dont bring up the fact that they are two different styles of....whatever this aint rocket science.
