Thank god for that damn hitch!

I went to work to get my week's schedule earlier. Decided to back into my parking spot. There was a boulder that I didnt see, so I just continued to creep along. Then I hear a scrape, and the rear end of the 4Runner is wedged over the boulder, resting on the hitch! If htat hitch wpouldnt have been there, I wouldve fuBared the damn bumper.

I agree. I rear ended a toyota echo when I was backing out from the parking lot and he was too at the same time. Didn't do any damage on my rig but made a nice $500 gash on his car. One of the reasons I didn't take of the hitch for better departure angle.

I have nailed by bumper hard backing up, with no damage whatsoever. It's made to take a hit to a certain degree.
