i have a 95 4runner 4x4 5spd and when it is warm and im stittin at a red light or something and its out of gear when i go to press the cluch in and put into 1st sometimes its hard to go into gear. its like something it blocking it and it is barely getting into gear if that makes sence. but sometimes it will do it and sometimes it wont. sometimes it will be really hard to go into gear and sometimes i just have to move it around and it will slid into gear. anyone know whats casuing this?

A worn clutch can cause this.

is it hard getting into reverse also? Before assuming it's the clutch, you may want to check the clutch/brake pedal bracket connected to the firewall. I noticed mine was getting hard to shift into first or reverse... so I ripped out the dash, pulled that bracket out... there it was... a GIANT crack in the corner of it! I had my buddy weld it back up and it works like a charm!! If it is cracked... just make sure when it's welded, it's welded straight... Mine was a bit off and I had to kind of shave one of the mounting holes on my clutch master cylinder to make it fit. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me.
