Sway bar end links

So I was installing my new front shocks today and unbolt the driver side end link and after removing the bottom nut, it just fell out. The top part had no threads or nut or anything, the passenger side does how ever. Is this just a different type of end link or did something bad happen?

so the part that comes out of the ball joint (the short part) didn't have any threads? if so, then something definetly happened.

ya, think I'm just gonna make some disconnects. Any idea of the thread size on the links.Downstairs is so far away, and I just took a shower.

should have all the sizes that you need. remember to make them a little longer too.

oh yeah, you'll probably also have to change the design a little bit. i made some quick disconnects out of my stock endlinks. they disconnect quick, but a huge PITA to put back on. the trouble is that the lower control arm is at such an angle, so once you disconnect (at leaste the once i made) the lower half becomes perpendicular with the arm, rather than straight up and down.

and just to clarify, i did not use the way above, but i may have to try it the next time around.
