In my opinion White walls and black rims is a no go for me. Also why is the bed cut out like that right behind the doors? Other then that though its a great looking truck.

If you can get it for cheap then I'd do it. The 22r instead of the re is definitely a bummer, but if you could get it for $1500 it'd be a sweet deal. As far as the rust goes...the truck is nearly 20 years old and lived where it snowed...that's how it goes.

I don't think he's trying to hide the bed cancer... I mean, it states in the description that it has "LOTS" of rust... I would maybe look around a little bit more nonetheless.

22R vs 22RE definitely wouldn't deter me from buying a truck, that's for sure. so what, you gain 10hp?

looks like a nice little rig

yeah 10hp and fuel injection! along with a wider rear axle and an ifs steering box (if it IFS). two years ago i bought an 84 straight axle 4runner and i wish i would have taken the advice of my friend an bought a 86 or later. i hated the carburator (it sucked on steep hills and i could not get it to tune properly) i swapped out the rear axle for an ifs one and doing hysteer came out to be a lot more expensive. i basically spent a lot of money just finding and installing ifs parts. A toyota solid axle is not hard to find or a dana 44 for that matter. I guess my suggestion would be to hold out an buy like a 88 or even try a 90s model they are not much more.

Looks like a nice truck... have you checked the VIN number at all just for the heck of it? Oh and are you still in Omaha Mike? Were you going to go pick it up if you won it or get it shipped?

no no no, dont get me wrong here. i just think it is easier to buy a IFS truck and do a solid axle swap rather than buying a straight axle truck and searching around for IFS parts i.e. fuel injection, IFS steering box, axle, and plus an IFS truck would probably be cheaper so that is more money and probably nicer. But i wouldnt buy an old IFS truck unless i was going to SAS it.
