It's weak.

Just kidding
Was that welded on or is it a bolt on? I can't believe it's painted already too.
What are you gonna do about that butt-ugly side fender that is exposed now?
You should line-X over it or something, or whatever josh did, his is less noticeable. It maybe harder on the lighter color though. Whatever, it will work on the trail. Good job!

It is welded on. I painted it in my garage tonight--we will see how it looks in the daylight.

Very nice! Looks awesome. Do you have any shots from underneath? Is the hitch in a good strong position there? If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost?

I will take more pics tomorrow. it is welded to the frame in 4 places and is super strong. Not too sure about the hitch, but at first I didn't even plan on having one.

Today I had to cut the spring loaded bar that keeps the tailgate easy to open and close. It was binding on the bar that now connects the rear of the frame. That tailgate is heavier than I thought!!

Beefy!!
Looks like you can hack off the hitch and extra bar pretty easily if it doesn't end up growing on you.

I really like the whole thing--I can keep the spare under the truck if I want, has great side protection, doesn't interfere with removing tailight. Now I just need to trail test it.

I had it custom made for the same price as Allpro's bumper--$300.00

I need to figure out something to cover up the ugly parts that were covered by the stock bumper. For now I will just polish it up so it matches the rest of the truck.

It would be cool to me if you get get some diamond plated aluminum put in the spots to fill in the gaps.

Thats funny--I was just looking at that picture of all the generations

Look how stock our trucks are. I had only done the Downey springs and Detroit locker--and I think you just had the roofrack, cb, and still didn't have license plates!!

Ahh yup great memory!!! Once all of our rigs are done, we're gonna have to go back out there and take some "completed" photos for kicks!!! (now to find a first gen).

Way cool bumper!

really cool bumper guy! I bet you saw it originally in the austrailian 4WD mag.
There is a company downunder that makes them. If anybody else wants to look at them (and some other way cool stuff) the company's name is TJM it should come up no probs. look for a .au in the web address. cheers Aviator

Bumper looks sweet, Marc.
We've got to get a SD run going this summer. Sometime in between the CO. trip and the Rubicon.
I missed that one a few months back and really regret it...

TJM, WTF?!? hahahaha

I really like the bumper though. You could have little "ears" welded on the insides of that open area and have some plates formed and just bolt them on, but they are easily removable if you ever need to take them off.
Just an idea.
