I know there were a bunch of us on here that bought the Speedhut instrument panel reverse indiglo gauges last year. I also recall a few who expressed interest in a similar product for the A/C control panel. Well guess what. Out of the blue, I got an email last night from eautoworks.com and it had a link in it about A/C panel reverse indiglo gauges. Here was the ones I found for my 2001....

Of course I hated the flames but I started doing some homework. Well, after doing some research today and after several emails, I found the ones for the 2001-2002 4Runners. Plain white, reverse indiglo, with blue icons. They also have them for the 1998-2000 4Runners, you'll just have to email Nu Image to get the part number (franknuimage@sbcglobal.net). The part number for the 2001-2002 is AC243 and it is available from Truckintrends.net You can call them at 951-284-2655 to order them (their website kind of sucks). Anyway, thought some of you might be interested in this. They're only $29.95 plus shipping. Let me know what ya'll think. Later.

What's your opinion of the quality? Those are a lot less than the speedhuts.

 

I think I'm gonna give them a shot. I've bought several things from eautoworks.com and they sell quality stuff. I just don't see them carrying something that is crap, well unless you count the Piaa, Raybrig, etc Extreme White H4 headlamp bulbs that pop after about three months. Speedhut never developed an A/C panel gauge. Someone sent in a model for the 98-00 Tacomas I think, but the last time I looked there were only like 3 pre-orders and it takes 20 for them to start making them. I don't recall ever seeing a price for the Speedhut A/C ones. I think I may buy them tonight and it may be a couple of weeks before I get them put in, but I'll let ya'll know how they turn out.

I like the sleek all black stock look. That's just a big white box on the dash, IMO. But if there is a reverse indiglo opportunity, I'm in.

 

Whoever installs them first, post some pics.
