ok, so, fresh from having my u-joint replaced (did i mention it almost comepletely let go at the tranny by the time i caught it?!)

my 4runner is now in a coma at my house with oil that looks more like yoohoo than oil.

sooo...my question is. what fits? mine is a 96 sr5 auto 2wd. it has 207,000k ( ) miles and istead a fixing it im in the market for a lower mile motor.

so all 3g's should be OBD2 right? will they all plug and play? what about the tacoma 3.4's? will they plug and play? and since mine is a 2wd auto, will a 4wd auto long block work?

will a 4wd 5spd long block work? will all 2d auto work (is that a stupid question or what?!) and will a 2wd 5spd long block work? i'll obviously be only using the long block unless i do a 5spd conversion.

im actually thinking about a 3.4 5spd swap from the taco's (are they only available in Srunners? (which models/years have the 3.4 5spd?)
