I got fed up with paying Toyota for new radio antenna mast mounts (who here's busted theirs three or four times?). The last straw was when the lacky at the Toyota dealer put my truck through a car wash. Guess what? It busted again. And no, the dealer woudn't pay because I didn't notice until two weeks later. I through away the broken cheapo plastic tube the mount comes with and subsituted a 7/16" steel rod held in with a machine screw. Problem solved. For good.
