Lift installed! 9 fingers left too! Mas pics

So after much cursing and even more dumb questions, my lift is on.
(Oh yeah, my apologies if, being about a lift, this belongs in off-road tech)

In the front I went with the TRD coils, Bamachem's spacer and some OME N91S's. This gave me about 3" of lift. In the rear I installed Wheelers Offroad 5 leaf replacement springs (made by Deaver), Daystar Shackles 1.25" lift shackles and OME N85's. This combo gives 2.75" over stock, but it looks like more cause my springs were wasted.

Big thanks to everyone here for the advice- especially to Andy/Bamachem Mike/Xtreme-Offroad and All the folks and Wheelers, qhogladly answered all my dumb questions, and helped me run up the credit card too.

So here's some pics

Before:

And After (there's a bit of weight in the back already):

With my cap back on:

And just for fun, parked in front of a stock Tacoma:

Also installed discos, sort of...

Running sway-bar free at the moment, new endlinks are $47 at the dealer, for that money I'll just order some discos from 4Crawler or something.

Just a few more pics....

Front before:

Front After (I was worried that I had gotten too much lift and I would damage my CV's, but it looks like stock front height is 35 to 35.5", so I think I am right at 3" of lift. Diff drop on order):

And the back before:

And after:

I'll stop now.

Awesome!
I like the look with that rear shell! Makes your tires look small though... next mod maybe?

Thumbs up

Awesome ride man. I just ordered wheelers 5 leaf springs yesterday and it is good to see that extra lift in the back I have almost the exact same setup that you have and the rear springs on my truck are pooched as well. Looks great man.

Wow, you have a clone of my truck, only mine's a '98. Other than that they look exactly alike, except for the lift.

Nice work! How much did it all cost, if you don't mind my asking?

Everyone-thanks for the props! I'm really happy with it!

Tacoma Dude- new tires will come, but not too soon, hoping to score a TJM out of our possible group buy first. Next mod is probably painting my wheels black! Its cheap and it should look good. Also, I have an exhaust issue to work out (I'll show y'all in another thread).

Deathrunner-nope, I was hoping to imply that 9 was what I started with (not that thats true either), but my command of the written word is not up to par.

rngrchad-I'm in the dayton area mostly, lima area as well.

Hi Ian,
I got a 1992 Toy P/U and now I'm pulling my hair <what's left> because the mechanic < who already assisted in getting the 4.0L V6 "1GR-FE" plu sauto tranny & T-case installed check https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/swapping-toyota-1gr-fe-4-0l-v6-place-3vz-e-3-0l-v6-53160/ > seems to be confused every time he looks at mu 4" Suspension Lift from superift.

The instructions in their web site are notstraight frard to me! I wish you can tell me it's a peice of cake! OK..Ok not that but it's doable..

Many thanks.. your trucks looks very cooooooooooool

windancer4x4, I have a feeling that your 4" lift is a little more complicated than what I did. It probably includes drop brackets and the like for lowering your front differential and where the lower control arms attach, yeah?

There might be someone in your area with experience with this sort of lift, but I would suggest sending a private message to member Masterwhacker, as he has recently installed a lift similar to what you have on his 93 pickup. That, and of course I'd try a search for "superlift installation" on the site. If that doesn't get what you want, than its time to start you own thread asking for info/help. Its sometime everyone here is glad to give (I wish I had more for you).

Good luck,
Ian
