Rear bumper end- not "limited"

I have a 98 sr5 4runner with chrome bumpers that I am switching to aftermarket black. But all the rear bumper ends (left, right) say for limiteds, I was told by the parts people they would fit. Also switching the chrome fender trim to black flares, (can't wait) any comments??

Save some money and hassle and just paint the trim. I have a write-up in the tech section. I have been running mine for a year with no problems.

As said, Limited edition's have several holes cut in the 2 bumper(ette)'s this is for the rear flares of the limiteds to attach to the truck. This will be visible, unless the flares you install cover the area entirely. Bushwacker extended should cover the area for example. Since it seems like you just want the chrome gone, 2 choices can be made. Paint your existing bumpers, or buy the non-SR5 (non-chrome) bumpers.

I have the black fender flares with mudflaps from another sr5, will these not cover the holes? Do they make a regular black bumper end cap that won't have the holes?? All the ones ive' found say limited.

if you do replace the chrome bumpers for the SR5, (it is a 98 right?) hit me up and i'll buy them from ya... some jerk backed into me, in a 994runner, and dented up my bumper and the body panel above it somethin bad, i took it to a buddies garage and we took the bumper off and banged out the dings in the body panel as best we could without taking it off, and made the bumper look a lot better, (it's a 3 piece bumper so we just worked on one section)

anyways let me know and i'll buy all 3 sections from ya.

Yes, the base model 4Runner came with non-chrome blackish/grayish bumpers. I don't have a pic, there might be someone around here that has the model. I don't know if the SR5 flares will cover the holes, if I had to venture a guess I would say no.
